Benito Juarez Community Plaza

The Benito Juárez Community Plaza was created in 2006 under an agreement between Casa Aztlán and the General Consulate of Mexico, then governed by Carlos Sada Solano.

The goal of the plaza is to provide all Mexicans over the age of 15 the education that they were unable to get in their country of origin, through programs in the exterior.  These programs were created thanks to cooperation between the General Consulates of Mexico in the United States, the Secretary of Public Education in Mexico, the Institute of Education for Adults (INEA), the CONEVYT, and organizations like Casa Aztlán.

The Benito Juárez Community Plaza is located in Casa Aztlán (1831 S. Racine) and offers classes in Spanish literacy for adults.
