Members of the Frente Unido pro Inmigrantes delivered a letter to President Elect Barack Obama, demanding he put a stop to the deportations and raids during the first hundred days of his government.  The letter demands the restoration of section 245(i) of the Immigration law, by executive order, permitting the normalization of the cases of hundreds of thousands of people who contribute to the country, with family members who are citizens, and permanent residents.  The letter also demands the creation of an advisory committee that includes pro-immigrant organizations to oversee the creation of an integral migratory reform plan.  The letter was delivered to the offices of Barack Obama's transition team during the second week of december.
